The Management Development Centre (MDC) of Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT) has been building leadership and professional excellence in the road transport sector since 1967.

With 2000+ training programmes and 80,000+ officials trained, MDC is a nationally recognised hub for capacity building, policy awareness, and managerial competence across government bodies, transport undertakings, enforcement agencies, and the automotive ecosystem.

The Training Division of the Management Development Centre (MDC) at Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT) is the Institute’s flagship capability-building arm, dedicated to strengthening India’s road transport ecosystem through structured learning, leadership development, and policy-driven capacity enhancement.

MDC has also conducted several International Training Programmes for Members of SAARC countries, Police Department, Government of Nepal, Transport Department, Royal Government of Bhutan, Transport Department, Government of Ghana on topics like Energy Conservation in Road Transportation, Urban Transport, Road Safety & Traffic Management, Capacity Building Programme and Vertical Interaction Programme.

Operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), MDC plays a critical role in:

STATE-OF-ART TRAINING FACILITY

Chawla Auditorium

This is A/c Auditorium having seating capacity of 68 and is equipped with the latest technology acoustics, audio-visual systems, arm chairs with folding table and power back up. Ample space is also created on dais for Stage Decoration and Lamp Lighting of the Inaugural Ceremony. The infrastructure is suitable for conferences, symposia, lectures, seminars and workshops for large groups and allows the trainer to see all learners.

Conference Hall

Conference hall has 30 seats in octagonal fashion as shown in the picture. The hall is equipped with power plug on the table, internet connection, projector, laptop and power backup. Further, the hall is fully air-conditioned and design in such a way that the participant’s interaction is fully enhanced as they can see each other in session & group discussion. Hall is suitable for vertical interaction programmes, high delegate summits, conference & symposia.

Seminar Hall

The classroom style A/C hall with seating capacity of 40. The hall is equipped with ceiling mounted speakers and projector. The hall is equipped with trestle tables aligned in consecutive straight rows thereby enabling face to face interaction with participants.

Class Room

The sound proof A/c Lecture hall has U shape seating facility for 19 persons, Projector & Laptop. It encourages the participants to have eye contact directly with the faculty taking the lecture and is also suitable for demonstration. The trainer is able to move to each participant thereby engaging each audience member in the session.

Splendid Lawns

Splendid lawns interspersed with shady trees which is perfect for conducting outdoor activities like Group Photo, Yoga, Games etc.

Open Air Tea Club / Cafeteria

The open-air multi-purpose area surrounded by countless trees support innovative thought & discussion during tea/coffee breaks. The Tea Club/cafeteria also supports allied activities such as corporate networking, product demo etc.
