S N Dhole has worked in the area of safety and homologation for vehicle & safety critical components from last 37 years.

He has through knowledge of CMVR, UNECE, EU & GTR Vehicle Regulation. He worked extensively in the drafting of various AIS standard related to Bus. He is Panel Convener for Sleeper Coach Standard AIS:119, School Bus Standard AIS:063, Double Deck Bus Standard AIS:139 and Tarmac Bus (airport application) and Co-convener for Bus Code AIS:052 and Tuck Code AIS:093.

Highlights of his work is as below :

1. Vehicle Certification as per CMVR for various categories of the vehicles including Passenger and Goods like (M1,M2,M3,N1,N2,N3), Agriculture Tractor (A), Construction Equipment (C),Two-Wheeler(L2) and Three-Wheeler(E Rickshaw Cart, L5M, L5N)
2. CMVR Certification of Tarmac Bus for Airport Application.
3. CMVR Certification Electric Buses for City and Intercity Operation.
4. Approval for Bus Body Code, Truck Body Code, School Bus, Sleeper Coach, Ambulance, Caravan.
5. Third Party inspection of more than 5000 buses (Diesel, CNG, Electric) for various STU’s like GSRTC, MSRTC, JKSRTC, UTC etc. and Municipal Transport Corporation like PMPML,TMTU,BEST, ASCDCL,BUDCO etc.
6. Bus Body Accreditation audits of more than 180 Bus Body builder across India.

7. Advisory/Expert Member for procurement of buses of different STUs and Municipal Transport Corporation.
Course director for MoRTH Sponsored training program on Central Motor Vehicle Rules, Road and Passenger Safety for RTO, STU, Police officers of different states.
8. Assessment of ECE/EEC/EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval Certificate for registration of imported Vehicles imported as per GSR 870 (E) and SoP Dated 1st May 2019.

He has enthusiastically coordinated several National level training programmes in the area of Central Motor Vehicle Rules and National seminar on bus “Implementation of Bus Body Code”. He represented CIRT at National conferences as Guest Speaker and also taken guest lectures at various prestigious institutes.
