The CIRT developed Bearing Test facility basically checks the dimensional requirement of Bearings during the manufacturing process. The material composition of bearings are tested on a sophisticated direct reading Spectrometer. To minimise dimensional error on the close tolerance given by the IS and manufacturers in the fitment, an electronic "TRIMOS" vertical model measuring equipment is added to the standard room. This facility is under development to evaluate the fatigue life cycle of bearings to simulate the road conditions.
