Surface Transport Master Plan for Bhutan

The Surface Transport Master Plan for Bhutan has been completed and the draft report has been submitted to the Royal Government of Bhutan.

Institute of Urban Transport – Preparation of Database of Urban Transport

The Institute of Urban Transport (India), New Delhi, has entrusted CIRT to prepare a “Detailed Project Report (DPR) for setting up and maintaining a Database relating to Urban Transportation”. The final report has been submitted.

Traffic and Transportation Study for Goa

The Directorate of Transport, Government of Goa has entrusted CIRT to conduct “Comprehensive Traffic and Transportation Study in Goa”. Reconnaissance survey has been completed, study locations have been identified, survey formats and schedule has been prepared and the primary survey for the above project will be started shortly.

Development of Demand Graph for BMTC

BMTC engaged CIRT on consultancy assignments to develop a demand graph for BMTC buses. The methodology of the study has been completed, survey format has been prepared, route for the study has been identified and the primary survey for the above project has started.

Estimation of the Impact of Daily Passes on the Revenue of BMTC

BMTC engaged CIRT on consultancy assignments to study the impact of daily passes on the revenue of BMTC. The project has been completed and the draft report has been submitted to BMTC.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)

Pune Municipal Transport (PMT) has engaged CIRT to prepare a “Master Plan for BRT – Integrated with Bicycle Network in Pune”.

An Interim Report - I has been submitted to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). After the submission of the interim report for the study, the team is working on next phase of the project i.e., collection of data through primary and secondary surveys. The team has also carried out the activity surveys on selected locations to identify the activities, the space being used for parking, hawkers, vendors etc. At present filling/bridging the data gaps and formatting the data in the form that can be used in Transcad is in progress.

· Workshop for Training Managers of STUs – March 19^th to 21^st, 2007

· Effective Inventory Control – March 19^th to 23^rd, 2007
